Our Mission
Our Mission
Our focus is to Share Christ, Make Disciples, and Grow the Fellowship. We make every effort to tell people the Good News, that Jesus, God's Son came to the earth to save every person who confesses Him as Savior for their sins.
When a person comes to faith in Christ, we help them grow in their faith. In the process of worshiping and studying God's word together, we expect God to grow the church. It is God's church, not our own!

Sugar Creek Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention through local, state, and national partnerships. Through these partnerships we are able share Christ through local, national, and international mission efforts.
We subscribe to the Baptist Faith and Message as our doctrinal basis.

Steve Blanchard became pastor of Sugar Creek Baptist Church in January, 2019. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. During his ministry he has served as minister of music & youth in several churches in Kentucky and Indiana. He and his wife, Cathy, also served as missionaries with the International Mission Board, SBC from 1985-2000 in South Korea. He also served on the staff of the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana from 2000-2008 working with churches throughout Indiana in partnership missions and worship leadership development. From 2008-2019 he was a Church Planting Catalyst in a partnership between the State Convention of Baptists in Indiana and the North American Mission Board, SBC. He and his wife, Cathy, have three grown daughters who are all married and five grandchildren. In 2022 they celebrated 50 years of marriage together!

We believe it to be the mission of Christ's church to proclaim His Gospel to all mankind and to strive for the realization of the Kingdom of God.
